Helping Students Grow Into What Comes Next
Our Portrait of a Winger Graduate describes the skills, habits, and qualities students should build before graduation. The RWPS Strategic Plan establishes the district-wide goals that guide teaching, learning, relationships, partnerships, and long-term improvement. Our Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness Plan (CACR), required by the Minnesota Department of Education and informed by the Red Wing Public Schools District Advisory Committee, translates those aspirations and goals into specific priorities, strategies, measures, and actions designed to improve student achievement and prepare every student to succeed as a Winger graduate.

Through Flight Path 2030, students will have more opportunities to build skills connected to the Portrait, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, resilience, curiosity, and responsible technology use.

Why This Connection Matters
Flight Path 2030 is not separate from the rest of Red Wing Public Schools. It builds on the district’s existing goals for students and helps bring those goals into a changing world.
Students still need strong academics, caring teachers, meaningful relationships, and a connection to their community. Flight Path 2030 adds more ways for students to build confidence with technology, understand data, ask better questions, and prepare for the futures they are imagining.
