Flight Path 2030
Future-Ready Learning
Flight Path 2030 is Red Wing Public Schools’ five-year readiness initiative to help students build future-ready skills before they graduate. Artificial intelligence is one part of this work, alongside computing, data literacy and real-world problem-solving.
New tools will be introduced in age-appropriate, teacher-guided ways to support, not replace, student thinking, creativity and core academic skills. Students will learn how technology works, when it is useful and how to question and use it responsibly.

If you ask Jonathan Trevathan what Flight Path 2030 is building for Red Wing students, he’ll tell you it’s much bigger than just adding a computer science class to the course catalog.
“We’re creating a full pathway in data, computing, and AI for students,” Dr. Trevathan explained. “They can start with introductory courses and build from there, depending on their interests.”
